Iso 400 Grain and Border from Agfa APX, use and have fun, you film fakers!
This photographic masterpiece is a scanned 35mm negative from an Agfa APX 400 B&W negative film.
The Agfa film has beautiful grain which I find hard to duplicate using the usual Photoshop filters. So if you really must fake the grain of film, feel free to apply this.
Use: Just downsize or upsize your smooth digital pic to a width of 3437 pixels, put this on top and set blend mode accordingly – overlay gives a subtle effect, linear light a strong one. This works best for cameras that have the 2:3 format of film, sorry Olympus and P&S users.
If you group the grain layer with a "Levels…" adjustment layer in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, you can dial in the amount of grain and the lightness by moving the black and white point.

Cattails on Film
More cattails. This time on film. I like this better. This is from a rangefinder and I have to say that I’ve decided that I really don’t like using this type of camera. I like seeing thru the lens much better. Maybe I could get used to it. It’s great for street photography, which I don’t do much of, but honestly, I just don’t like them much.
