MovieInsure.com, Provider of Short Term Production Insurance, Now Expands into Utah

You dream it, we’ll cover it

Woodland Hills, CA (PRWEB) September 16, 2011

“..the calls kept coming in, so I decided to just go for it..” says David Karubian, CEO of Brilliant Insurance Services. For the past 9 years, Brilliant Insurance Services has provided short term production insurance for indie film makers as well as regular producers of film, TV, documentaries, music videos and commercials. Currently they are licensed in 11 states, including CA which is where they are based, OR, NV, AZ, TX, HI, NC, NY, NJ, FL and now UT.

Most of the time, an “indie” film maker that needs film insurance, he or she typically will ask a colleague where the good deals are or often have their production assistants help look for such deals. The internet has made this process easier and http://www.MovieInsure.com has a very detailed overview of the variety of programs offered. Applications are downloadable, however most applicants call and speak with David prior to completing any forms.

“It’s something I do and it’s something I like to do,” says David. “The movie insurance is just something I was doing a lot of, due to my proximity to Hollywood… the young film producers coming out of film school all have something to prove, and I love hearing their story lines and feeling their enthusiasm as we do their quotes…. As the calls came in, I developed my markets and slowly began adding states to transact in..” says David.

There is competition in the market, but the prices we offer and the certificate services we provide are the best in the industry. The coverage offered ranges from general liability, coverage for rented production equipment, coverage for vehicles, workers compensation, errors & omissions and more. Although some producers do film without the proper coverage (commonly referred to as “gorilla style), most legitimate productions have to apply for permits and need certificates to show the city. In either case, if they are renting equipment, the rental house will need insurance on the gear.

According to David, “…yes I am the CEO, but it’s my favorite type of policy to sell and I really like the ‘crowd’ who have made me feel accepted.” “Working with film producers has made me feel inspired at times, wanting me to do films of my own” says David. To speak with David, he can be reached by calling (888)504-8484 xt 203, or by emailing him at David(at)MovieInsure(dot)com. He is friendly, and outgoing and can be quoted as saying “…it’s as close to being in Hollywood as I can get..”

Production insurance is unique to each project. Depending on the budget size, duration, amount of rented equipment, stunts, and so forth, the prices can range from $ 500 to $ 5000 on insurance for a short term policy. Many producers own their own gear, but may have to rent some vehicles. All of this can be accommodated. Annual policies are also available and are definitely a cost saving move.

Like a lot of industries, the film industry is small in terms of social networking and the fact that is always growing and emerging. Jokingly David adds, ”ha ha…sometimes I feel like they [the indie producers] get to have all the fun, while I am stuck in the office all day…” Nevertheless, there is rumor that some new technology coming to help David get out of the office more. Stay tuned for more developments on that front.

In the mean time, the folks at Brilliant Insurance Services are going to add more states to http://www.MovieInsure.com as the demand warrants. In addition to having a really nice website, and a wide variety of programs custom tailored on a short term or annual basis, one would definitely want to get a quote from David before making a final purchase.

IDA PRODUCTION Launches with Promotional Event for Genre Bending Feature Film They Call me Jack

New York, New York (PRWEB) September 13, 2011

Every so often, a film is released that calls society’s mores into question. Enter Jamie Neumann as JACK in THEY CALL ME JACK, the story of a hermaphrodite writer struggling with the angst of a series of unrequited loves. A feature length independent film in development directed by first time director Stefan Blomquist, the story examines the myth and reality of duality in gender and sexuality. Somewhat of a fictional anthropology in timbre, the piece is set in New York and San Francesco in the mid nineties amidst the backdrop of opulent high society and drug-induced artistic expressionism with the introduction of Allan Ginsberg played by Laurence K Cantor. Ginsberg who is best recognized for his work in beat poetry figures greatly in the piece as an ever present lover to JACK in her pubescent years even as she courses onward in her adulthood with short-lived, complicated relations. Other locations include Thailand and Bangkok, which have served not only to establish the visual beauty of journey in self-exploration but also to blur the lines between what is ordinary and unusual.

An event launch is scheduled September 12th from 6:30 to 10:00 at La Galleria in New York City to secure investment for this picture. Please direct all press inquiries and RSVPs to Kojenwa Moitt at kojenwa(at)zebra(dot)nu

In June of 2008, Deviled Pictures had released it’s first ever film. The eight minute documentary was released under the title of “New Reigns” (directed and produced by Eric Shepard). So far the film has grown greatly in popularity since it’s release.

Deviled Pictures later produced a television series, called “In Your Kitchen” (created and directed by Eric Shepard). The show was a thirty-minute cooking program. It’s goal was to try and take the comedy element of a sitcom and bring it to what would normally be a rather unappealing cooking program. This ambition of comedy proved to be successful. Soon after the premire of the pilot episode, the show received multiple positive reveiws, and people soon demanded more and more episodes. So far five episodes have been made, completing the first season of the show. “In Your Kitchen” airs thursday nights at six o’clock, on Consolidated network.

Coming soon from Deviled Pictures is a short film, titled “The Dictator Awards” (written and directed by Eric Shepard). Further information on the project will be announced shortly.

Video shorts are the newest video production style

Video shorts are the new format to promote a business on TV, online or DVD. It is one of the most cost effective video productions and usual produced in a very short time. Video production editing or also called post production for shorts is not anymore as time consuming as it used to be and the hard-software for editing is getting less and less expensive.

Corporate shorts in TV production provides innovative videos to capture the essence of a story or product, and give a personal touch to help connect with the viewer. Shorts in any video production can be used for a range of needs: branding, sales, awareness, promotional, political, educational and informational uses. A video short intends a specific purpose in a corporate or B2B environment and watched by a targeted audience.

They can help craft the right message to promote and push a brand – and make it stand out visually.

Video production and post production editing for shorts aim to inform the audience, give more insight and a greater understanding about the world and its subjects. It becomes true: A great story starts with imagination.

Some of the first pioneers of video shorts and film TV production are the German born Director and cameraman Max Skladanowsky who built one of the first film cameras in 1890. For his first film, Bioskop, he used to loops of 54mm film, one frame being projected alternately from each. This made it possible to project at 16 frames per sec, sufficient to create the illusion of movement.

Video production editing was done linear to this time therefore it was very limited and time consuming.

Also the man who has been called the “father of the documentary film production, Robert Flaherty,” born in 1884 (Michigan U.S) produced short films. Flaherty produced Nanook of the North, A Story Of Life and Love In the Actual Arctic, the first feature length documentary film production, in 1922.

Not to forget that his video production editing was still done linear, in compare to today’s much faster non-linear video editing suites.

Another pioneer work in video and film production was the earliest known feature length narrative film in the world, an Australian production called THE STORY OF THE KELLY GANG (1906).

Or did you know that one of the world’s first film studios, The Limelight Department was operated by The Salvation Army in Melbourne, Australia, between 1897 and 1910. It produced about 300 films of various lengths, making it the largest film producer of its time.

Since then workflow of video production, post production editing and equipment of a cameraman has changed tremendous. As well the platforms it screens and the aims it is targeting.

Strong believes are that in the common years 70% of all web based content will be bundled in video shorts, vodcast (podcast video).

Therefore every company and individual should start to think in this direction to stay effective and promote their business online with a podcast video.

Corporate Shorts provide innovative podcast videos for a website to capture the essence of a business, and give a personal touch to help connect with the audience. An effective online podcast video presence is the future promotional and informational vehicle.

Today most TV channels stream their video content on the web because people like to follow up shows and programmes they missed or just want to be more flexible with viewing times.

What is anyway the difference between PODCAST and VODCAST?

Podcast is Audio for web only

Vodcast is Video and Audio for web

By that post production or non-linear video production editing becomes highly increased and has changed dramatically as well.

In compare to film production 50 years ago, today’s video editor can edit your video footage at points that are both creative and logical. Video production editing can be done in very short time in house or on location with a mobile video editor and edit suite. Using digital video footage, they can create sophisticated animated text effects, special effects and combine movies with still images.

With original or existing digital footage the video editor can animate, transform and composite multiple movies and images, apply colour correction, improve audio quality and add animations.

Video editor can use video footage to combine green-screen interview footage with customized virtual sets while adding convincing effects like virtual shadows and reflections in your video production edit.

This was not possible in the early stages of film and video production! A TV or film producer, director or cameraman needed many hours of work and post production was very limited.

But there is more! Video production soundtrack editing is one of the big advantages of today’s technology.

Different soft- and hardware is used to compose loop-based soundtracks in any musical style for a video production, or to provide and edit a stock music soundtrack.

Video shorts are the way to go.
