IDA PRODUCTION Launches with Promotional Event for Genre Bending Feature Film They Call me Jack

New York, New York (PRWEB) September 13, 2011

Every so often, a film is released that calls society’s mores into question. Enter Jamie Neumann as JACK in THEY CALL ME JACK, the story of a hermaphrodite writer struggling with the angst of a series of unrequited loves. A feature length independent film in development directed by first time director Stefan Blomquist, the story examines the myth and reality of duality in gender and sexuality. Somewhat of a fictional anthropology in timbre, the piece is set in New York and San Francesco in the mid nineties amidst the backdrop of opulent high society and drug-induced artistic expressionism with the introduction of Allan Ginsberg played by Laurence K Cantor. Ginsberg who is best recognized for his work in beat poetry figures greatly in the piece as an ever present lover to JACK in her pubescent years even as she courses onward in her adulthood with short-lived, complicated relations. Other locations include Thailand and Bangkok, which have served not only to establish the visual beauty of journey in self-exploration but also to blur the lines between what is ordinary and unusual.

An event launch is scheduled September 12th from 6:30 to 10:00 at La Galleria in New York City to secure investment for this picture. Please direct all press inquiries and RSVPs to Kojenwa Moitt at kojenwa(at)zebra(dot)nu
